Note: Please do
read the disclaimer and instructions supplied in the download before
attempting
to use this package in "Enforce Logon" Mode. You are advised to
test it firstly in non-enforced logon mode, and confirm that the
network-logon works correctly before proceeding further. This is a
system-level utility which modifies
some of the security aspects of machine-startup. Incorrect use might
leave
you unable to access your PC, or your data. If installed correctly the
risks are minimal, and the software is intended to be easy to uninstall.
Additional Utilities
A standalone utility which allows a user to change their server-side password from a client.
This add-on is necessary with domain-controllers, since the
Microsoft password-change utility can only perform this action if the
machine is joined to the domain in-question. Control is achieved via
SMB named pipes, and so should work in any situation where file-sharing
works.
Takes its settings from the mylogon.ini config file.
Installation: Unzip into MyLogon folder. Create shortcut to PasswordChanger.exe.
Can also be used standalone or with other network clients, in which case a suitable mylogon.ini file may need to be created.
It is envisaged that this functionality will be incorporated into the next major build of MyLogon.
Parts of this utility's code are © Mobiusware, see readme in src folder for terms of use.
The "Share Cleanup" feature of MyLogon as a standalone program.
Purpose: Removes drive-mappings to which the user has no access-rights.
Usage: Extract the executable to your netlogon share. Call as the last item in your logon-script.
This functionallity is built-into MyLogon, thus the standalone version is only required for other types of network.
Source included.
A 'Systems Update Service' for small networks. Permits the
automatic deployment of downloaded patches to a bank of
computers. Very easy to setup and use. User-friendly, gives
option to cancel patching if it's not an appropriate time to do so.
Designed for MyLogon but suitable for any network with a logon-script.
Windows XP, also works for NT4 and Win2000 with some reduced
functionality. Source and instructions in the zip.
